Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Scotland, is currently looking to recruit a Project/ Technical Officer for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of GBP350-GBP400/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the duration of the contract.
Responsibilities:
- Involve developing and delivering a Cladding Remediation scheme that maximises value for money, and delivers full safety benefits.
- Lead on the technical aspects of the scheme, including the technical specification, technical assessment of applications, review of assessments and remediation determinations.
- Lead on the development and co-ordination of information for the technical review panel set up to provide governance for the project.
- Liaison point for assessor organisations appointed to deliver the scheme and for other stakeholders involved in the remediation process.
- Contribute to wider building and fire safety matters in response to, amongst others, the Grenfell Inquiry.
Essential Skills:
- Relevant building qualification, with preferably experience of fire safety aspects of the design, construction and/or management of buildings.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the flexibility to respond to competing demands and to balance priorities.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
- Proven financial management and numerical skills, including experience in all aspects of budget monitoring.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
