Job Title: Development Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical)

We now have an opportunity for Development Engineer to work at our Kitemark testing lab with our Test Engineers based in Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire.

Purpose of Position:

Working as part of the Projects team in our testing lab the Development Engineer will be supporting the Senior Development engineer Building and producing various "testing rigs" pieces of equipment that support product testing, you will be involved from the design stage of the process, receiving requirement, through concept phase, final solution, costs, validation.

Playing a pivotal role supporting the Project Manager(s) in technical discussions with suppliers and ensuring validation requirements are considered and documented as the design develops

Part of the role is the collation of supporting documentation from third parties such as OEM's, wiring diagrams, declaration of conformity, maintenance schedules, written schemes of examination.

Thorough documentation of all internally generated design work.

Key Skills:

-Electrical and mechanical experience

- Educated to at least HNC level in an appropriate engineering discipline

- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

- Ability to evaluate and control cost and make sound financial recommendations.

- Excellent problem-solving ability

- Installation of new equipment and commissioning
