Category Manager
Our client; one of the world's largest cosmetics company is looking to recruit a Category Manager to be responsible for the collaborative category development relationship with the external retail partners ensuring that the organisation is growing the total category for the retailer and growing the shares of this. This will be done by being the category expert and working with retailers sharing insights and delivering projects which support a consumers experience of shopping. The role will report into the Senior Category manager, who is responsible for developing and delivering the category vision.
Location: London, Hammersmith however is a remote position too.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 35hours per week
Pay Rate: GBP192 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month contract
Responsibilities
Focus on building and maintaining strategic partnerships with retailers and leading on regular category trade meeting with market updates, range review alignment, and projects
Lead on range reviews with internal stakeholder management designed from comprehensive data analysis, range and space elevation and using planogram development tools to support your recommendations and check compliance of execution post-implementation
Strong digital expertise and ability to navigate the e-commerce channel
Share category expertise both internally and externally
Develop a close working relationship with the commercial and marketing tribes to understand objectives and KPI's
Be the expert on sales and shopper tools such as Nielsen Answers, IRI, Kantar
Support in strategy meetings using category and shopper expertise to build a story
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive data both internally and externallySkills/Experience
The client is looking for organised, accurate and ambitious candidates. Alongside experience in a similar role and excellent leadership skills, you should be confident demonstrating the following:
Strong experience in a customer-facing role
Proven knowledge of retailer strategies and objectives
Experience in range reviews
Strong data analysis capability
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
