Job Title - Analytical Technician
Salary - GBP11.23 p/h
Location - Dewsbury
Full time position
You will be supporting the manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses which will provide the necessary critical data. You will have basic laboratory skills to perform a range of routine lab activities using existing standard operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Trains to perform routine analyses under direction of senior team members until proficiency is demonstrated.
Collects and receives samples according to the Sample Plan.
Performs basic preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments (i.e. calibration checks)
Provides evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action.
Monitors performance of laboratory instruments and escalates problems to appropriate team members.
Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
Follows EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
The ideal candidate
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently
Escalates out-of-spec data to appropriate team members for follow-up
BSc (preferred) in chemistry, biology or related field or Post Upper Secondary
