We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, proactive and confident individual to support a Year 7 student with Autism on a 1:1 basis. As the student needs support now, this is a full-time role to start as soon as possible in Bath. The day starts at 8:30 and ends at 3:30 with a half an hour lunch break.This is the perfect opportunity to start your career in Education! Furthermore, the school isn't looking for experience or Teaching Assistant qualifications but the right personality fit. This means, if you have struggled to get past the application stage previously this is the perfect opportunity for you!

  • Bath location (Larkhall area)
  • Immediate start (there are September opportunities too!)
  • Temporary to permanent contract
  • For now until at least Christmas but likely to go permanent
  • GBP66.30 per day

The school is based in the Larkhall area of Bath and is a small secondary school with a real community feel! It is also the only CofE secondary in Bath. The staff are incredibly welcoming and you will have continual support and training from the SEN team and SLT.

The ideal candidate will need the following

  • Passion for education with ideally an interest in becoming a future teacher
  • Ideally a graduate but if not, a strong academic background, comfortable with secondary maths and English
  • Some SEN experience ideally either with children or vulnerable adults

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
