With a high emphasis on visible leadership, accountability and building a real team ethos, this role is ideal for anyone looking to make a difference in our quest to deliver products timely and accurately while ensuring world class customer service in the process. The Team Leader, under the guidance of the Operations Manager, will be responsible for leading, driving and managing a manufacturing team responsible for compounding TPN supplying the UK and Ireland market. The daily responsibilities of the Team Leader is to ensure and drive manufacturing activities ensuring that they are aligned to the commercial business requirements by close collaboration with supply planning, engineering, quality and warehouse/logistics and pack teams on site. By understanding and monitoring manufacturing flow and cycle times the Team Leader is responsible for executing daily production plans and loss analysis in the manufacturing areas as well driving a CI culture in the area. The role requires excellent leadership skills and will need the ability to develop strong working relationships with critical partners to help manage the pipeline.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDay to day organising, driving and leading a team of 27 Technical Operators Maximising the efficiency of the equipment and resources in the manufacturing area Monitoring, controlling and adjusting manufacturing process during production hoursResponsible for the day to day management of the compounding manufacturing team Responsible for providing visibility when orders are due to be compounded Provide assistance to the Warehouse, packaging and Logistics Team Leader during times of high demand or to cover absence Develop, update and monitor key performance indicators in relations to the manufacturing of products Responsible for organising daily tasks and setting goals for the team to meet expectations and company targets for manufacturing KPI'sResponsible for leading in resolving issues that might affect safety, compliance, output, business ethics etc.Through a strong presence on the workplace, coach and mentor staff to ensure all critical processes are executed with a sense of urgency in compliance to Baxter internal processes as well as ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with GMP, Standard Operating Procedures and other regulatory agency requirements. Ensure timely completion of relevant deviation and complaint investigations to identify true root cause and the elimination of future re-occurrences.Set objectives for and appraise the performance of individual team members to ensure individuals are focused on activities that will support the Thetford objectives and ensure customer satisfactionProactively look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement, influence decisions and deliver the results whilst ensuring an appropriate level of compliance. Recruitment, development and resource allocation in area of responsibility.
