About the role

You will be a vital member of the specialist multidisciplinary team, supported by our Lead Ophthalmology Nurse, Sarah. As a Nurse Associate, you will be providing a high standard of care to patients throughout their journey within the ophthalmology department which will include initial assessment, diagnostics, theatre preparation, post-surgery instructions and follow up (in-house training will be readily available). As an NMC registered Nurse Associate with experience of working with patients and relevant clinical experience, it would be advantageous if you have knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and equipment but not essential. Just as important is your commitment to personal development, willingness to work in a fast paced and changing environment and enthusiasm to succeed.
