Production Supervisor - Nightshift

GBP12.50/hr (higher rate negotiable dependent on experience)

Core Hours - Monday to Thursday 39-46 hrs pw (4 Nights -5.45pm start)

A long established, quality accredited metal finishing company, is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the automated electrophoretic painting plant and effective supervision of around 10 personnel to achieve the production plan as directed by the Production Manager

The Role:-

?? Effective control of production facilities and direction of the team to achieve efficient work flow ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times

?? Ensure all processing procedures are completed in accordance with job card and any related documentation instructions to conform to required quality standards and specification

?? Identification and movement of work to and from the production area using a counterbalance Forklift Truck

?? Full responsibility for maintaining a high standard of house-keeping on site

?? Management of the team to include undertaking new starter inductions, back to work interviews, monitoring performance, offering coaching and conducting any initial stages of the disciplinary process

?? First Aid point of contact on the shift

?? Ensuring all required paperwork is completed accurately

?? Provide comprehensive handover to the day shift Production Manager

?? Responsibility for undertaking / ensuring quality checking functions are undertaken throughout process

?? Responsible for addressing simple mechanical breakdown situations effectively

?? Cover for Production Manager/Supervisors when absent (to include day and night shifts)

The Person:-

?? Background in a manufacturing/production at a supervisory level

?? Metal finishing industry experience an advantage

?? Capability to manage safely, effective plant operation and supervision of general operatives

?? Some practical mechanical knowledge is required

?? Must be able to understand and comply with all Health and Safety/Safe Working Procedures at all times and help to continue to develop safe working practices throughout the site

?? Have some experience and understanding of COSHH requirements within our environment

?? Current First Aid at Work certificate desirable

?? Car owner with full driving licence

?? Counterbalance FLT licence holder

?? Flexible to undertake alternative/additional duties - which may include cover on an alternate shift

?? Flexibility on work patterns - initial training programme will be delivered on a day shift working pattern
