As Accounts Administrator you will report to the Finance Business Partner and be responsible for credit checking and invoicing, undertaking credit control and supporting the sales team. This role is pivotal in the business and requires an enthusiastic, hands on individual who can demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. You must have at least 2 years' experience within an Accounts Administration role, preferable within a larger organisation.

Hours of work: 8:30am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaising with credit control and legal teams.

* Credit checking and Invoicing.

* Processing payments.

* Checking customers are up to date with payments and assisting with customer queries.

* Supporting Sales team in dealing with account/order queries.

* Assisting Sales Admin team with queries/amendments.

* Reviewing and agreeing proposed T&C amendments.

* Occasional visit to customers' office with sales team member.

* Raising manual invoices and purchase orders.

* Verifying the completeness and accuracy of documentation.

* Performing various administrative and clerical tasks according to the needs of the Finance department.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work effectively with non-finance managers, colleagues and external parties.

* Ability to work autonomously and also within a team, as well as being able to use one's initiative.

* Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, including planning and delivery to challenging deadlines.

* Have a willingness to learn and possess a proactive forward thinking approach.

* Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.

* Integrity & confidentiality are a key requirement of this role.

* Strong analytical and numeric skills.

* Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office would be essential.

* Other Preferred Attributes:

* Experience of working in a busy finance function.

* Experience of debt collection would be highly advantageous.

* Experience in using Oracle Financial Systems would be a distinct advantage.

* Experience in the data industry is not essential, although experience of working in a large business is preferred.
