Elevation are delighted to represent a world class Chemical manufacturing business as they look to hire an Indirect Buyer on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
With a global presence and a >GBP100M turnover, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement and Supply Chain Professional to add a widely recognised business to your resume. In the current economic climate, this business are a global super power heavily involved in the manufacture of the COVID-19 vaccine ready to distribute across the world.
A key role within the Procurement Department, this role will be responsible for ensuring the company achieves the lowest total cost of goods for a range of services and commodities. This will range from site services to engineering spares and includes PPE etc.
Managing a spend of GBP10M, this will be a true end to end Procurement role including all sourcing, negotiating, implementing and management of agreed frameworks.
Working knowledge of SAP is crucial to this role.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of GBP10M across Indirect Procurement
Developing and implementing risk managed purchasing strategies company wide
Source, negotiate, implement and manage agreed frameworks
Work closely will internal departments to ensure on-time, in-full KPIs are met for set commodities
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:
Degree Educated or CIPS Qualified
Working knowledge of SAP
Experience of managing GBP5-10M spend
Indirect Procurement Experience
