Job Title: Bank Support Worker
Location: Canterbury, CT1
Wage: GBP13.00 Weekdays | GBP15.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? Yes, adapted vehicle, manual drive
Essential: Experience supporting a younger client with complex care needs, non-smoker / non-vaper, confident supporting a young client in the water during swimming/hydrotherapy.

About this client/child:
Our client Peter is 7 years old; he is a sociable and engaging cheeky chap who loves spending time with his younger siblings and his family. Peter has physical and cognitive disabilities; he requires full assistance for all activities of daily living. Peter is a wheelchair user, he uses specialist equipment such as a standing frame, walker and communicates using sounds and facial expressions. Peter loves Mr. Thumble, playing outdoors on the swing, sensory play, storytime, and looking at fish!
Overview of the role:
As Peter's Support Worker you will assist with all aspects of his care plan, therapy programmes, self-help skills, personal care, accessing the community, and participating in fun and educational activities. The Support Worker will provide hands-on practical support, assist with meal prep, administer medications, and continually promote Peter's independence. This is a bank contract, offering on average 2 shifts per week to cover maternity leave, when this team member returns, you will pick up shifts as and when you are available.
Shifts/hours available**
Monday to Friday: 07.00am to 09.00am AND/OR 3.00pm to 8.00 pm
Weekends and School Holidays: 07.00 am to 8.00 pm
