We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Delivery Driver - Class C (late / afternoon shifts) to join us based in Doncaster. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 48 hours per week, working late / afternoon shifts. Flexibility is required as shifts could potentially start from 1.30pm and finish at 1.30am. The working hours will be monitored in line with the EU Drivers Hours rules and the Working Time Directive (WTD). In return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.
The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce renewable electricity, heat, and DynAgro, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging. The plants provide an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfills.
As our Service Delivery Driver - Class C (late / afternoon shifts) your duties and responsibilities will include:
- The collection and exchange of 240 ltr wheelie bins from clients' premises, containing food and catering waste
- Returning the wheelie bins to the Doncaster site and offloading the material into hoppers
- Completion of all required documentation
- Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean, undertaking required vehicle checks
- Acting as an ambassador on behalf of ReFood, ensuring that the client is treated courteously and respectfully
- Using an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirements
What we are looking for in our Service Delivery Driver - Class C (late / afternoon shifts):
- A full HGV Class C Driving licence
- Smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and a pleasant manner
- To represent the company positively when visiting sites and communicating with customers
- To demonstrate their understanding of EU Rules and WTD
- Undertake a Disclosure and Barring check, as required
- Hold their Driver CPC
- Hold a Digital Tachograph Driver Card
- The successful completion of a DBS check is a mandatory requirement and is a condition of any offer of employment
