Lincolnshire County Council's Public Health Team have been at the forefront of health services for many years now, come on board as a Projects Officer (Internally - Public Health Officer) and help us stay there!
Our team has developed rapidly over the past few years and is responsible for delivering significant improvements to the health of Lincolnshire's 750,000 residents. With the emergence of the pandemic we raised our profile even higher on a national level, liaising with partners and government but always focusing on supporting our residents here in Lincolnshire.
We are now seeking to appoint 5 Public Health Officers (1 x Permanent & 4 x 24 Month Contracts) to join our team based in Lincoln.
We are looking for people who can work proactively and autonomously, you'll need to work at pace and deliver whilst learning as the work within the team continues to develop.
The above skills are not all we are looking for we also need people who can;
- Show excellent time management skills to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
- Evaluate options with a clear sense of the key priorities and risks to the programme of work.
- Manage information from multiple parallel work streams and integrate them to form an overall view of issues.
- Effectively manage team relationships and promote cross-functional collaboration.
- Make decisions within their remit and escalate quickly when required.
- Understand, identify and report risk within the project/programme of work.
- Manage processes within a project management approach ensuring the outcome remains the focus and not the process.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports.
- Have an awareness of the wider picture whilst remaining task focussed.
Experience within Public Health is not essential, rather the skills above, coupled with an open mind and willingness to learn as you work???all at pace.
