Street lighting Technician
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrician to join Ringway and work alongside a highly-skilled team in Hertfordshire. As a Street Lighting Technician, you will demonstrate excellent operational skills, reviewing structural and electrical test results to create work packs to repair or replace electrical street furniture and assist the Principal Engineer in the delivery of the design and technical service as requested.
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
* ???Liaise with clients and colleagues in relation to their requirements and HCC specifications for work
* Produce comprehensive packs for construction purposes, complying with all CDM requirements.
* Raise orders for work using the Client's Confirm database
* Undertaking all health and safety activities as required under H&S and CDM regulations in accordance with Ringway policy and procedures.
* Undertaking site investigation, surveys and other studies
* Monitor progress of work on site
* Monitor cost against value of work
* Assist with the generation of contract documentation, drawings and technical reports.
* To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
Formal qualifications required;
ONC electrical and Electronic Engineering
or
City and Guilds 2382-18 with Street Lighting experience
Skills required;
* A good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
The capability to produce quotations from design drawings
* A team player
* Flexible in terms of hours worked and attitude
* A demonstrable ability to work to deadlines, maintaining a high quality output is essential.
* Effective communication
* Time Management
* PC literacy
* Organisational skills
* Accuracy/attention to detail
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Demonstrated initiative
* Ability to work to deadlines
