A fantastic Social Housing Organisation in the North West of England are recruiting a Category Officer to join their Procurement Team on a permanent basis. This role will require not just experience in Property based Procurement but also requires a passion for social value. Making a difference to not just their customers but also to businesses, local economy, the environment and much more.
The successful applicant will manage discrete areas of spend within Property Services, implementing the procurement strategy and policy that enables the delivery of value for money. To identify, manage and report Social Value outcomes for the Property Service whilst co-ordination support from Partners. This role will require commercial analysis, a passion for social value, Project management skills, internal stakeholder relationship building and management and the ability to develop an amazing service.
Essential:
* Experience of Property Services Category Management, and market knowledge of minor construction works and compliance procurement.
* Experience of Public Contract Regulations, issuing of contract notices and contract award processes.
* Experience of contractual terms and conditions relating to Property Services.
* Experience of delivering innovative solutions giving value for money.
* Experience of delivering, managing, and reporting Social Value within a procurement function.
* Experience of delivering projects on time and on budget, including monitoring and evaluation.
* IT skills - Microsoft Office up to an intermediate level.
Desirable:
* Experience of working in a social investment, health and well being, adaptations environment.
* Experience of working with partners and stakeholders e.g. local authorities, community groups and funding providers to deliver social investment, health and wellbeing activities.
