  • Create and improve user-centred content efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Establish consistency and good practice across all content creation.
  • Design content, implementing the appropriate style and standards, to meet user needs and business standards, creating a clear, joined up customer journey for those engaging with CDPS content. Ensure appropriate content is shown to a user in the right place and in the best format.
  • Ensuring all content assets are user-focused, accurate, optimised appropriately (e.g. for search), and meet relevant design, style and accessibility guidelines.
  • Work to the Wales' Digital Service Standards.
  • Lead conversations around content design standards and patterns across the Welsh public sector.
  • Own and manage content for the CDPS website (including Knowledge Sharing content).
  • monitor and improve content based on user feedback, research and data.

  • Ensure all content assets are user-focused, accurate, optimised appropriately (e.g. for search), and meet relevant design, style and brand guidelines.
  • Lead the content design community of practice promoting user-focused content design across public services in Wales.

Who you are

We want to hear from people with skills in:

  • Creating, improving, publishing and managing high-quality, user-centred content.
  • Understanding which tools or methods to use, meeting the needs of users across a variety of channels, and offering insight and expertise in how user needs change over time.
  • Using analytics, user feedback and user research to evaluate and improve content.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders to understand their goals and working with them to improve user journeys and content quality.
  • Understanding the difference between content design and copywriting.

  • Naturally curious and able to champion your own learning and development.
  • A champion for user-centered practices.
  • Respectful in your approach to stakeholders and services who aren't as familiar with user-centred design.
  • Proactive and will take the initiative rather than to see a problem and ignore it.
