The Recruit Venture Group are seeking an experienced HR Adviser to support our group with HR, legal and compliance advice.

The Recruit Venture Group invest in, and support Recruitment businesses across the UK and currently have a network of 47 offices and circa 250 staff.

The role is focussed in the areas of general HR advice and commercial business support, supporting business owners with their decision-making processes.

Additional to internal staffing HR matters, there is also a requirement to support owners in terms of the temporary agency staff working in the business in a HR, compliance and employment law capacity.

Due to the nature of the business, experience in the Temporary Recruitment/Agency worker sector, IR35 and TUPE would be advantageous.

Along with day-to-day HR duties the role also encompasses general legal advice in terms of contract law and general business principles as well as regulatory advice that is specific to the recruitment industry with the aim to support the individual companies achieve their business objectives.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified, flexible, have the ability to assimilate information quickly, work to timelines and adapt to a business that is constantly changing in terms of business needs and requirements whether as a consequence of growth, business priorities or external changes such as legislation or industry specific requirements.

In addition, the successful applicant must see the support that needs to be offered is perhaps wider in breadth than within a traditional HR function.

The ideal candidate would be adaptable, have a general interest in business with a strong commercial bias in terms of the role of the HR function.

Problem solving and an ability to think outside of the box is critical to the success of the role as is being able to adapt the style and delivery of advice and support for different business owners who are at different points in their career.

A background in the recruitment industry would be highly advantageous.

Previous experience of working in HR in a commercial environment is essential.
