Bike Workshop Manager - Bristol
Principle Areas of Accountability:
Managing the bike workshop to achieve maximum sales and turnover growth through a range of sales and marketing activities including social media, special offers, etc
Managing and motivating the team to provide excellent customer service, increased sales and ensure maximum efficiency
Ensuring all areas of the shop are maintained to a high standard including consistently organising the shop floor to look attractive with the maximum number of products and a varied range offered
Ensuring delivery of weekly Meaningful Occupation courses for clients (Build a Bike)
Liaising with the Employment Support Worker to facilitate individual needs while clients are using the Bike Workshop and ensure the workspace is fit for purpose
Providing the ES Worker with weekly updates on client’s progress and report concerns in a timely manner
Undertaking DR. Bike sessions
Dealing with staffing issues such as rota organisation, and contributing to the interviewing and inducting of potential staff including volunteers and clients,
Conducting staff performance reviews and identifying any training and development needs
Ensuring health and safety standards are met, and that legal and security issues are adhered to
Managing the day to day running of the EPOS till system, reporting any issues identified
Carrying out stock takes, managing and securing stock levels, ensure ordering for the workshop is effective and responsive to faulty / damaged / incorrect deliveries
Contributing to the analysis of sales figures and forecasting future sales
Contributing to the interpretation of trends to facilitate planning
Responding to customer complaints, suggestions and comments
Attending and chairing staff team, organisational and external meetings
Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
Talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving issues effectively
Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the businesses can compete effectively in the local market / trialling new products
Manage policies and procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them
Respond to all problems promptly and professionally
General
Positively represent Julian House at all times by engaging positively and politely with colleagues, volunteers, customers and the general public
Carry out, within reason, any other duties necessary to achieve the smooth running of the organisation and undertake other organisational duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities, in particular the support of other social enterprises
Be familiar and work within Julian House Policy, including Health & Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities
Work alongside the ES team to develop and promote the Build a Bike project to clients, customers, the general public and stakeholders.
