We believe that people can and do  recover from the issues that create homelessness and we are working across Bristol delivering shifts on the streets, drop-ins at local Day Centre’s, and working with accommodation providers and the local authority, to reduce rough sleeping to as close to zero as possible.

As an Outreach Coordinator you will supervise the case management of a team of Outreach Workers and other staff; and build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers across the city. This exciting role will involve working on housing, health, treatment and immigration issues with some of Bristol’s most vulnerable individuals.

You will take an active role in all operational requirements, from recruitment to people management, data analysis, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery and effective multi-agency partnership working.  You will be highly motivated, often working to your own initiative, and be proactive in identifying creative solutions to often complex and fluid situations.

About you

To be successful, you will have demonstrable experience of leadership skills, engaging and assessing clients on the streets and other devolved locations and of delivering a case management approach, with homeless people and clients who are rough sleeping or vulnerably housed. A good working knowledge of the housing, health and social services legislation and services for vulnerable people is also required. As is the ability to work as part of a team and to initiate and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, the community, the police and other external agencies.

Flexibility is essential as you will be expected to work outside of your normal working hours when required, covering shifts that include early mornings, nights and weekends.
