It's the role of our Chief Information Office (CIO) who provide the backbone and infrastructure upon which this bank of the future will sit. Network Technology Services in Group CIO provides Network Services that are always on, secure and ready for tomorrow.

Broadly speaking, we're responsible for:

  • Connectivity between Bank sites, Data Centres, 3rd Parties, Cloud and the Internet

  • Networks within Group Data Centres

  • Wired and Wireless networks in offices and branches

  • Providing and governing the security of the Group's networks.

You'll have a deep understanding of Networks, infrastructure, configurations and data connections and act as the technical Authority for the 3rd Party Governance Platform.

You'll have a good understanding of Service Now and ensure that all aspects of the 3rd Party Governance process are adhered to, attending Governance Forums, triaging new, amendments or decommissioning requests, maintaining data quality at all times and liaising and providing consultancy to partners, business owners and platform teams.

Additionally, we'll need to see experience of;

  • Reviewing and updating technical mapping of data connections

  • Co-ordination of technical, platform and business groups

  • Delivering continuous improvement

  • Creating MI reports for Senior management / partners and interpreting data

  • Delivering outcomes by collaborating with others and working within established systems

  • Providing technical coaching to additional team members

  • Providing input on designing new processes and systems to achieve professional standards and desired outcomes.

  • Using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.

  • Achieving planned commitments by developing short-term and/or medium-term work schedules

What about you?

  • A Networks background is essential with knowledge / experience of the following beneficial:

  • Firewalls

  • F5's

  • Cryptography

  • Architecture

  • E2E 3rd Party Connections

  • Perimeter devices

  • Experience of the management of risk within a Networks environment

  • Service Management / Management Information reporting / Partner Management

  • Knowledge of Security policies and standards

  • Attention to detail is key for this role
