Do you want to join a growing operation for one of the UK's manufacturers, that can offer great training & progression opportunities? Hunter Selection are currently working on behalf of a renowned manufacturing company based on the Devon/Cornwall boarder who supply products to a range of companies across the UK. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrically Biased) to come on board, contributing to team success and site continuous improvement.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks and site repairs to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity and performance
* Working on various production lines, producing a variety of different fresh food products
* Conduct maintenance machinery schedules & PPM's and document
* Carry out fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on all machinery & equipment
* Working on such equipment as, conveyors, various automated packaging & food robotics, site services, palletisers & PLC's
* Project work - machine upgrades, modifications, & continuous improvement work
* Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & maintenance daily
* At the end of a shift be responsible for completing engineering logbook, to record stock removed from engineering stores, ensuring accurate stock control & auditing
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (electrically biased)
* Have served an accredited apprenticeship
* Educated to a minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering
* PLC - electrical fault-finding skills
* Have worked in a manufacturing environment previously - ideally food, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, packaging
* Must have strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills - able to work on own initiative
* Be a strong communicator, working closely with multiple discipline engineering & production teams
* Attitude is everything, positive, enthusiastic, willing to train & develop
* Must have excellent understanding of engineering systems, stores & PPM documentation
* Any experience of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques a bonus
Shifts & Benefits Package:
* Shift:- Monday - Friday 1.30pm - 10.00pm
* Salary:- GBP34,000 - GBP35,000
