Management Accountant, Practice Manager, Accounts, Zero, SAGE, VAT, Payroll, Regulatory Returns, Solicitors Accounts Rules, permanent, Hampshire
Practice Accountant is required by a highly-regarded multi-service law firm based in Fareham, Hampshire.
You will be an experienced full-time or part-time Practice Accountant looking to build upon your experience within a dynamic and forward-thinking practice.
The Role will include assisting with:
* The oversight of the existing accounts function including supervision of two accounts assistants
* Analysis of current management accounts and systems
* Assisting with yearend procedures
* Liaising with client account auditors in respect of annual client account audit
* Preparing management accounts, VAT returns and instructing external accountants in respect of annual accounts
* Business overview and troubleshooting in order to drive efficiencies
* Ability to meet with other business units in order to improve the business overall
* Reporting to directors on financial performance
Candidate Specification:
Candidates will need to have a good knowledge of office accounting procedures including the use of Zero and SAGE, be able to produce and report on management accounts, VAT, payroll, regulatory returns, and ideally have knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules, although a willingness to learn may be considered.
