If you have experience of working with a client-centred recovery focussed approach and engaging with clients with mental health issues we have an excellent opportunity for you!

 

We are excited to be looking for 2 people to join us as Engagement Workers in Bristol in one permanent and one fixed term, or secondment, opportunity.

 

Rough Sleeping Engagement Worker – this is a permanent role that is based in an exciting new service for those rough sleeping who have mental health issues, working with partners AWP, Second Step and Nilaari to engage and support to access the ongoing services and treatment they require.

 

The vision is to provide an integrated service that:

  • Creates a bridge between the service user and the wide range of expertise across our system
  • Makes best use of our collective resources to provide person-centred, trauma informed care at every stage in the pathway (based on our My Team Around Me principles and approach)
  • Takes an holistic approach, balancing clinical need with wider determinants of wellbeing
  • Uses technology to ensure that there is one view of the service user that is shared by all partners across the system
  • Empowers and enables those rough sleeping to participate fully in their care, and supports them moving off the streets and into recovery.

 

Engagement Worker – this is a fixed term (or secondment) opportunity based in our ACE service working with a wide variety or people who face multiple barriers to mental health services and are not engaged in services. The service reflects the diversity of Bristol and reaches people and communities that may have had difficulty accessing these services in the past.

 

We are looking for someone with experience of working in high quality outcome focused services who has a passion for supporting people in a positive, individual manner to engage in their recovery. We also welcome and encourage applications from people with lived experience of mental health issues, and/or services. Knowledge of relevant mental services and other local services will also be beneficial.

  • Experience of working with a client-centred recovery focussed approach and the necessary skills to initiate and maintain constructive and appropriate relationships with clients and agencies in a detached environment and with hard to reach groups.
  • Knowledge of the particular issues facing clients with complex needs, and knowledge of the services which are available to them.
  • An understanding of and an ability to work in a psychologically informed way.
  • Ability to work as a member of a dynamic, positive team, to build wider networks with other agencies and also work using own initiative.
