Please note this role is to cover shifts rotating between 6am through to 00:30am. Shifts are arranged 4 weeks in advance**
Purpose of Role:
To provide advanced support to DD Group specialising in the support of Server and Networking Infrastructure. This role will ensure that all DD Group systems remain available within agreed KPI's, compliant with all relevant patching and security policies and procedures and are monitored as appropriate. This role also is responsible for the development of new systems as needed to support the continuing change in technology and business needs, ensuring that DD is always able to meet new challenges.
Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
?? To ensure that IT Infrastructure is maintained and is available within an agreed SLA
?? To ensure that IT Infrastructure support systems are in place and functional to support the needs of the business
?? Take actions as appropriate to monitor infrastructure and pre-emptively resolve
?? To investigate and resolve incidents raised though the IT Service Desk that require further technical support
?? Take actions as appropriate to maintain and mitigate any cyber security concerns to Infrastructure and Systems
?? To log and raise bugs and change requests with the development team to address issues identified with software systems
?? To ensure that all work is documented via the IT Service Desk knowledge base or other document keeping systems
?? To ensure that integrations between the Warehouse Plant Systems and the Dental Directory's ERP are maintained and keep an uptime to an agreed SLA
?? Where appropriate support the IT Service Desk in providing end user training
?? To deliver projects that further the strategic aims of Dental Directory
?? To partake in the On Call rota

?? Where the role includes any task relating to the purchasing, storage or sales of medicines, an understanding of the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is required.
?? At all times the post-holder should act in a way that supports the Company in maintaining its essential licences and certifications.
?? To ensure PPE issued by the business is worn in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
?? Training is undertaken as recommended by your Manager.

Technical Competencies / Skills:
Essential
Basic Windows Server Troubleshooting
Advanced Windows Server Troubleshooting
VM Deployment in Hyper-V and ESXI
Virtualization Platform Management for Hyper-V and ESXI
Ensure that all systems have actionable monitoring in place
Configuration and Maintaining a SCCM\Intune Environment including OS Deployment, Updates, Software, System Baselines etc
Management of systems update infrastructure ensuring that updates are available to client and server OS's in a timely manner
Ensure that Servers are patched in line with patching guidelines
SQL Queries, execution of pre-defined or parametrised queries
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage own time effectively and to be prompt and punctual
Experience of working effectively within a team and collaborating with others to achieve a goal
Demonstrable ability to think around issues and look at the wider picture in order to provide solutions through a variety of problem-solving techniques
Drive, self-motivation and ability to work under own initiative
Sound knowledge and experience of supporting range of IT applications, platforms and technologies
Ability to clearly and accurately communicate processes and procedures verbally and in writing
Experience of working accurately and confidently with service desk tools and technology, such as ITSM, remote access, knowledge resources
Experience of delivering a high level of customer service
The necessary skills and attributes to integrate successfully into a busy team
Desirable
Understanding of MS Azure, IaaS and PaaS Services
Experience managing and maintaining warehousing systems
An active / empathic listener
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Ability to produce management information reports from ITSM systems
Experience of developing professional and effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders
