SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join one of their clients based in Castle Donington. This is a full-time, permanent position joining a small, successful business. The role will be responsible for Quality aspects however will have a huge focus on a number of Operational elements, due to the size and nature of the business this is very much a hands-on role and one that will see you get involved with a variety of different tasks.
Typical duties could include:
Maintaining quality systems throughout the business
Being responsible for the implementation of the Business Health & Safety policy, environment, ROHS and WEEE
Managing and determining the appropriate level of inspection of all incoming raw materials and components, releasing parts from quarantine once inspected using the company stock control system
Managing the supplier returns procedure in conjunction with the Operations Assistant
Managing the customer returns routines in conjunction with the Operations Assistant
Being responsible for the audit of quality and any quality systems
Managing the recording, reporting and progressing of all customer complaints
Playing an active role in the NPD Stage & Gate process, preparing for and attending gate sign off meetings
Carrying out appraisals of all those reporting directly to you at least once a year inline with the company's appraisal system, reviewing past performance in relation to objectives as well as identified future objectives and training requirements
The successful candidate for this role should have previous experience within a Quality related role, you should also be someone who is willing to roll your sleeves and really get involved with the day to day alongside the management aspects. You should be an excellent communicator, with the ability to deal with people at all levels and motivate a team. You will be joining a well-established team, with a lot of longevity throughout, so they are keen for someone to be able to hit the ground running, share ideas and make an impact.
