About the role

The Leicester Progression Coach Gardener Trainer will be responsible for supporting and supervising the Putting Down Roots trainees; providing a range of therapeutic and vocational horticultural activities to support the recovery of people experiencing homelessness. The trainer will deliver accredited vocational horticultural training, with both tutor and assessment responsibilities. They will also be responsible for maintaining the site, liaising with delivery partners and promoting the service to potential clients.

 

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience of gardening in a professional capacity, as well as experience of delivering structured programmes of accredited teaching or training. They will have a strong practical understanding of health and safety. They will be positive and engaging, and able to work independently. They will have experience in working with adults from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex needs.
