Our client works with young people aged 16-25 in a supported living setting who are at risk of homelessness, helping young people across the country. The key activities for the youth supoort worker are;-
1. To support young people to identify their stengths and aspirations
2. To assist young people to improe their life skills through designing and implementing life and social skills programmes
3. To encourage and motivate young people to engage with and sustain education, training and employment opportunities.
The ideal candidate for the youth support worker will:
1 Hold experience of working with young people in an hostel , probation, education or residential setting
2. Hold up to date knowledge of welfare rights
3. Have a wilingness to learn and develop new skills and open to new ideas and change
