Ignition Driver Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for immediate starts in Heywood, Greater Manchester working for a major high street retailer.

As an HGV Class 1 driver, you will be required to complete both store deliveries and trunking work. The ideal candidates will be happy with afternoon or evening starts ranging from 12 noon to midnight.

HGV Class 1 drivers will earn pay parity from Day 1 with overtime payable at time and a half after 9 hours. We are also looking for part time or weekend only HGV Class 1 Drivers.

*Our rates are inclusive of payment in lieu of holidays
*Weekend supplement payable for Saturday and Sunday
About the Jobas an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Store Deliveries and trunking
• Some manual handling
• Vehicle Maintenance Checks
• Route and delivery paperwork completion

Shift times & working hours of an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Various shifts available
• 7 day operation - Week day and Weekend work available
• Evening shifts
  • Start times between 12:00 - 18:00
• Night shifts
  • Start times between 18:00 - 00:00
• Various and flexible start times

What do we need from you to be an HGV Class 1 Driver?

• Full HGV Class 1 driving licence (C+E)
• 3months corporate driving experience
• 90 days tacho recorded driving in the last 280 days
• We will accept up to 6 points on your licence, but no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements
• Digi Tachograph Card
• DCPC Card
