We are committed to making a positive difference to the homes, lives and communities we serve and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Voids and Lettings Officer to join the members of our in-house Lettings team.

You will support the Void and Lettings Team Leader and Void and Lettings Manager in the delivery of a customer focused effective and efficient Void and Lettings service. This will be achieved by ensuring that robust pre-tenancy assessments are completed, which include affordability assessments and Money Advice referrals and suitability assessments for property, ensuring that customers are able to sustain a tenancy.

You will need experience of housing management systems and be able to work flexibly, managing an area of properties from termination to sign up. To do this you will need excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your own time and workload.

As part of our Lettings team, we want you to have:

* Relevant experience and knowledge in voids and lettings including Choice Based lettings systems

* Knowledge of legislation and best practice regarding housing issues, homelessness and immigration legislation as it to relates to Allocations and Lettings

* The ability to show an understanding of the financial implications of poor property management.

* A current active UK driving license and access to a private motor vehicle for work use.

* Flexibility to work across the current business geographical areas within Staffordshire, Shropshire and any future geographical areas

* This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check
