The organisation:

The Utley Foundation is a private family charitable trust which exists to advance social causes close to the heart of its trustees. Music for Dementia, the foundation's main area of activity is a nationwide campaign aiming to make music accessible to everyone living with dementia. Their work encompasses influencing policy and raising awareness and understanding, including through its two services m4d Radio and the Musical Map for Dementia.

We are delighted to be working with the Foundation to recruit a Digital Marketing Officer to join its small and very busy team. The role is currently remote working but will ultimately be office based, so the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to the office in Ingatestone (Essex) on a full-time basis.

The role:

Working closely with the Communications & External Affairs Manager and the wider team, this role's aim will be to significantly increase audience engagement and awareness of the work of the organisation, particularly the Music for Dementia campaign and to take its social media presence and impact on to the next level. This will involve successfully managing Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter accounts in addition to creating daily content, posts and stories tailored to various platforms, creating eye-catching visuals and videos, managing digital advertising, monitoring narratives and targeting specific audiences such as care homes, the music industry and more broadly the general public. The aim being to make “Music for Dementia” part of the national conversation when it comes to supporting people and families living with dementia. This work will also include identifying and prioritising suitable opportunities to develop inspirational and informative stories and supporting and promoting connected events, launches and campaigns.

The person:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience of working in a similar Digital Marketing role and will be looking for the next step in their career. You will have worked in some depth, extensively with Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram and digital communications platforms. You ideally will have worked in small teams where everyone works collaboratively and each is able to take ownership of specialist areas of work. Your experience could have been gained from any sector but not for profit or campaign exposure would be advantageous. You will be a compelling storyteller, passionate about music, people and social impact with a solutions-driven and pro-active approach to getting things done. Creative and technology savvy, you will be competent in delivering digital marketing strategies, analytics, managing paid for advertising and promotions, managing projects from beginning to end with the ability to source, edit and create images and video for increased reach and engagement. The overall aim is to increase considerably the audience engagement throughout the UK, so a proven track record in growing numbers of followers and meaningful engagements will be important. A relevant professional qualification such as CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing would be very advantageous but not essential, as will video editing, Google Ad words management and knowledge of SEO /SEM.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person with the right level of experience to make a real contribution to this poignant, progressive and ground-breaking national campaign
