Chubb now has an opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our large Credit Control department in Blackburn (BB1 2PR). The main goal of the Credit Controller role is to contact customers to collect outstanding account balances, work with customers to understand their situation and resolve outstanding payment issues.
What will I be doing as a Credit Controller?
Work to targets for monthly cash collection and quarterly aged debt
Negotiate payment plans, follow up failed promises to pay and resolve disputes
Update customer account information
Reconciliation of customer accounts
Prepare overdue debts for legal action
To be successful in this role you will:
Have strong customer service skills which can be phone based or face-to-face
You may be a recent graduate looking to start your career, or have experience working in retail or hospitality
Be experienced in working towards targets
Have strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships
Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
Prior experience in credit control / collections is not required
