Credit Controller (Fixed Term Contract) - Bromley, Kent.

At Excelcare we have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to work in our Finance Department reporting to the Income Manager. Excelcare are family owned and operate 32 Nursing and Care homes in the South East, a Domiciliary Care Division and Social Accommodation. We are a progressive care provider with a clear vision, strong leadership and ambitious growth and change plans.

Reporting to the Income Manager the main responsibilities will be to support the Credit Control function in particular through the allocation of invoices and payments. Also, to support a project to implement the new income and credit control system.

The role will be based at our Head Offices in Bromley, Kent and is a full-time Fixed Term Contract for 6 months. Hours 9-5.30pm. We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

What you can expect:

• Salary: 23k - 25k depending on experience
• Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

Role responsibilities:

• Allocating cheques, BACS and credit card receipts to customer accounts
• Reconciling client accounts to clarify the balance outstanding position
• Preparing and sending statements and copy invoices as requested
• Calling individuals and local authorities to chase outstanding debts and late payments.
• Support with the testing and implementation of new systems as required

About you:

• The ability to communicate with families in an empathetic manner
• To be able chase debts, update and follow up as required
• Business to consumer credit control experience required
• Experience of recovering debt in dispute
• Strong IT skills, including Excel
• The enthusiasm to get involved and resolve problems
• Credit control within a care setting
• Involvement with deployment of new systems and processes
• Experience with Civica's Coldharbour software is desirable
