Experienced Accounts Assistant

GBP18,000 - GBP23,000 based on experience
Our client is seeking a full time Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper for 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) 9am-5pm
The role requires an experienced and professional individual who has experience within an accountancy office dealing with numerous client accounts.
The ideal candidate will be supporting the business with preparation of accounts, VAT, and also supporting the Managing director and office Manager with Administration requirements.
Applicants must have 2 years minimum bookkeeping experience with accounting software a necessity.
Job Requirements Include:
* Data entry, Invoices & management of Suppliers billing/invoice
* Bank & Credit Card reconciliations
* Monitoring customer accounts: debt management & credit control
* Prepare Year End Accounts / Quarterly VAT returns
* Assist in the production of monthly accounts and reports including fixed assets register, aged creditors, balance sheet, P&L
Candidate Profile:
* Excellent communication skills
* Organised, with excellent numerical skills and good attention to detail
* Accounting Software
* Debt management/credit control understanding
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy vital
* Good team player
* Practice experience is highly desirable
Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience essential
* Accountancy software 2 years essential
* Microsoft Word
* Microsoft Excel
* Outlook
Qualifications Required:
* Proven qualification by experience.
* AAT level 2 or above
