The Role:

Our client has been manufacturing specialised life science equipment for over 45 years, used in research and medical laboratories.

As a result of commercial expansion our client is looking to hire a versatile and dynamic Marketing Manager with extensive experience of developing and executing marketing campaigns and strategies.

An experienced Marketing Manager is required to join a friendly, welcoming team to lead the company-wide marketing function. You will need to be comfortable developing medium to long term strategies and owning the day-to-day marketing activities.

The role is responsible for:

• Managing a small marketing team and owning all departmental responsibilities.
• Creating and deploying a marketing strategy and setting goals based on past performance and market forecasts.
• Overseeing current product and service offerings and leading initiatives for new products or services.
• Researching and analysing market trends, competitor products, customer segmentation, pricing and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
• Working with marketing team to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and sales teams.
• Approving and overseeing the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements and other marketing-related projects
• Communicating marketing plans and campaigns effectively to the sales teams.
• Organising and implementing plans for company attendance at major International and UK based industry conferences.
• Providing in-depth information to interested clients and acting as the representative for the marketing department in important customer meetings.
• Tracking all marketing data and creating detailed written reports and verbal presentations.

With distributors and agents in over 70 countries our client designs and manufactures a range of finely programmable freezers, vessels, benchtop incubators, alarms, monitoring systems and sample tracking software assists in the safe storage, transport, and preservation of medical and biological materials.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Proven experience of developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, ideally within both B2B and B2C markets.
• Previous experience leading and managing a small marketing team.
• Proficient with online marketing and social media strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
• Metrics-driven with a marketing mind and an eye for creativity.
• Established press and media contacts.
• Degree educated in Marketing, Business, or equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

• Basic salary of GBP35K-GBP40K

Location: The position of Marketing Manager is based in Spelthorne with some flexibility for home working a couple of days per week. There will be a requirement to travel to trade shows domestically and internationally approximately 4-6 weeks a year.
