Location: Stonehouse

Salary: GBP9.01 p/h + 18% shift allowance

Shifts: There are 3 static shifts available so you can work on either the Day shift 7am to 3pm, the Afternoon shift 3pm to 11pm or the Night shift (11pm -7am). Afternoon and night shift offer an 18% shift allowance.

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking Production Operatives on behalf of one of our clients.

Reporting to the Production Shift Manager and working as part of a busy team, you will manufacture uPVC windows and patio door products.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Window frame handling, storage and loading using safe manual handling.
Cutting uPVC profiles using a Stuga saw machine.
Reinforcing and welding the window frames.
Attaching handles and mechanisms using hand and air tools.
Beading and glazing the windows.
3 static shifts available so you can work on either the Day shift 7am to 3pm, the Afternoon shift 3pm to 11pm or the Night shift (11pm -7am). Afternoon and night shift offer an 18% shift allowance.
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience gained within an assembly style production environment is essential.
Specific experience of window fabrication is highly desirable - but not essential as training will be provided.
Experience and confidence using handheld power tools is highly advantageous.
Manual handling experience of heavy loads is required as there will be some lifting.
A positive, proactive approach to tasks, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
The successful candidate will possess a reasonable level of numeracy and literacy as well as good communication skills, with the ability to follow written & verbal instructions.
