Compass Resourcing have a live requirement with our Leeds based Engineering client who are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader.
This is an excellent role with a well-regarded business, who manufacture an interesting range of complex industrial process equipment.
This is a Team Leader role where you will work to ensure the production team is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible, and it is a hands-on role where you will work alongside the team in the assembly of the product range.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure workmanship of the team is of the highest quality, and completed in a timely fashion.
* Work with the production team to ensure improvement and operational projects are supported and completed.
* Work in close conjunction with the Production Manager to ensure schedules are met, quality standards maintained etc.
* Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to
* Devise upkeep and organise training programmes
* Identify, implement and promote improvement projects
* Assist in equipment maintenance
* Toolbox talks and regular communications
Requirements:
* Apprentice trained engineer, or similar, ideally with a multi skilled or electrically biased skill set.
* Knowledge and experience of assembly of complex engineered equipment/machinery
* Able to lead and motivate a team of skilled engineers
* Able to read technical drawings - mechanical, electrical, pneumatic
* Experience of managing / supervising / leading a team in a production environment
* Well disciplined, self-motivated and a good communicator
Hours of work are 7am - 5pm Monday to Thursday
