The National Trust Consultancy in London and the South East is looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications professional to provide marketing and communications support to our property teams in London.

The Hours: This is a part-time role comprising 30 hours a week - Monday - Friday.

The contract: This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from secondment. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

The Salary: Please note that the salary advertised is pro rated to the part time hours.

What it's like to work here

You'll be a key member of the Communications and Insight consultancy team and will work with colleagues at properties, across the region with consultancy peers and nationally with the central team, to engage our supporters and the wider public with our cause.

What you'll be doing

During the transition period this year you will help establish and embed new ways of working to set the team up for success. You'll be responsible for shaping and delivering regional marketing communications aligned with the central Audience Plan. You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to respond to media issues they arise and to plan, deliver and evaluate our seasonal marketing to deliver key business goals. You'll also use your expertise to support the wider regional team, the national team and properties to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate activity at a local level.

Who we're looking for

You'll need to have:

  • Experience of working with strategic marketing plans that are planned in an audience first way, directly support wider business goals and are integrated with wider national marketing and communication plans.
  • Able to demonstrate effective budget management.
  • Ability to line manage and overseeing direct reports/freelancers and collaborate with colleagues to plan, deliver and evaluate high performing marketing activity.
  • The ability to effectively influence a wide internal network of marketers to follow a national/regional strategy, encourage closer integration of activity, develop best practice and compliant content and follow consistent working practices.
  • A proficient user and commissioner of data and insight to evaluate marketing activity and create a compelling narrative to demonstrate impact.
  • Experience of briefing, optimising and evaluating paid media activity (radio and digital).
  • Experience of using a web content management system to create web content and optimise it for search engine performance (SEO)
  • Experience of supervising and evaluating direct email activity, including training and supporting content providers on key systems that support the production and evaluation of email marketing.
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
