Great Howarth School - Rochdale
15 hours per week Monday to Friday term time only
GBP8:95 per hour
Horizon Care and Education Group Ltd is a provider of young people's residential care and education and provides the highest level of education by the use of the best resources available. Great Howarth School is a small, independent school based in Rochdale, for children with recognised SEMH difficulties.
Following recent developments to our school site we are looking for an experienced and qualified cook who is able to plan and budget a full menu and who is fully aware of, and up to date, on all the health and safety, food hygiene requirements of running a school kitchen.
The successful candidate will plan and prepare meals for the pupils and staff and ensure that all areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard to ensure a clean and safe working environment for staff and pupils. Previous experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities - Cooking
1. Plan and prepare meals considering dietry requirements and healthy options
2. Order / shop for the ingredients based on the planned menu
3. Serve meals to the staff and children
4. Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy
5. Level 2 qualification in food hygene require
Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references. Disclosure expense will be met by employer
