Logistics Team Leader
Main Responsibilities
Overseeing the Logistics team, motivating and leading them to exceed targets and ensure the business runs as smoothly as possible on a daily basis
Accepting deliveries from suppliers, checking for discrepancies or damages, and correctly storing goods to avoid breakages and wastage
Consistently maintain and update stock files, both manually and electronically
Implementing Health and Safety procedures around the site, briefing employees on best practice
Rotating stock, disposing of wastage in a safe manner and updating documentation in line with stock movements
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, bringing fresh ideas to the table, and trialling new processes to improve operations
Experience and Skills required
Previous experience of leading a successful team in a Logistics focused environment
Sound knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO45001
Competent IT skills - confident in using stock control systems and Microsoft Packages
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
