Site Operations Manager

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Site Operations Manager to join a diverse, global company, based in Didsbury. The successful candidate's salary will be dependent on experience.

Please note that the company will consider applications from all locations around the UK (Scotland, Wales, England, Norther Ireland), and Ireland.

The candidate will be responsible for day to day management for Site Management, HSE & Engineering resource for projects within the UK & IRE Region, to provide technical and procedural support to Site Teams, ensuring compliance with the company & local HSE requirements and the company's Site Management processes.

Role Requirements

Significant experience as an Ops Manager, in operative project execution within the wind energy sector and/or similar industries/energy sectors. Proven track record in recruiting, developing and managing site/operational teams, development, roll out and monitoring of business critical KPI's.
Leadership and management
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Engineering qualification
Good computer skills are required, especially MS Office and MS Project
Fluent in English
Excellent technical qualification
Strong knowledge and appreciation of the technical, commercial and political aspects driving the wind industry
Proven leader able to manage diverse site teams and drive continuous improvements.
Proven track record in delivering continuous improvements.
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong contractual and commercial awareness.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and risks
Strong QHSE awareness, ideally with experience of working across several countries to support QHSE best practices.
Role Responsibilities

Leadership & line management of the Site management, HSE and Engineers
Planning and day to day management of Site Management, HSE & Engineering resource within the Region.
Chair weekly site management calls to manage resources across all sites including manpower, tools and parts.
Close cooperation with the Project Managers and appointed Site Manager in planning, preparation, establishment and execution of the site, support with initial mobilisation and set-up as required.
Provide Technical and Procedural support for Site Managers, HSE professionals & Engineers.
Be the main point of contact with group and support functions for technical and quality issues.
Oversee roll out and implementation of fleet wide Technical Notifications & Service Notifications.
Ensure compliance with Local and Nordex QHSE requirements across project sites.
Work with other Site Operations Managers & Heads of PM's to develop best practices and KPI's for Site Management across NEU.
Lead and manage personal Dialogues for Site Managers and Site Assistants.
Manage induction plans, contracts, development, performance and KPI setting. For both internal and external team members.
Ensure lessons learnt are carried out and feedback provided to NEU team on Safety, Commercial, Quality performance of key suppliers.
Primarily office based with frequent travel within the UK & Ireland Region to support all projects and 6 days working weeks are part of the job.
Working Hours

40 hours a week, Monday - Friday. The company has a flexible approach to working hours providing that employees are present during the core hours of 9am to 4pm.
