PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO MD / WITHAM, ESSEX / UP TO GBP30K + BENEFITS
Exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic, well organised Personal Assistant to join a growing, ambitious business in Witham, Essex.

Our client is a leading supplier of tableware and display ware to the food industry. With offices and warehouses in UK and China, they distribute products to over 60 countries worldwide.

They are now looking for a bright, confident Personal Assistant to assist the Managing Director with all aspects of the business.

The Personal Assistant Role:
They require a strong candidate to assist the Managing Director in a variety of day-to-day duties. As this is a new position, they do have some flexibility on candidate's previous experience and the direction in which they want their career to go. This is an ideal role to learn the business with the potential to move into other roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day to day work of the Managing Director
  • Assist the Managing Director in researching and following up with action on matters which fall within the director's responsibility - chasing responses, following up outstanding tasks etc
  • Produce reports and analysis upon direction and request of the Managing Director
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales team, and other departments, where required
  • Research, understand and keep up to date on policies relevant to the business such as, Plastic Tax etc
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Managing Director

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree in Business or IT desirable
  • Excellent IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Versatile with a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm
  • A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise
  • Courteous, and friendly with a positive approach
  • Trustworthy with the ability to keep confidential matters confidential essential
  • Confident and outgoing
