About The Role

EKFB are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and collaborative Environmental Manager. We need your skills to enable the development process. We want to ensure that environmental risks are identified early and solutions integrated seamlessly into the project design and its construction.

You will be responsible for maintaining developing and implementing the project environmental management system. We'll also need you to develop and provide environmental training for all project personnel to include induction, toolbox talks and specific training for personnel with specific environmental responsibilities. We need someone to ensure that current and future environmental legislation is identifies and its requirements are incorporated into management systems. We'll also need you to ensure we are compliant with environmental legal, contractual requirements and consents.

Coordination with other contractors regarding cumulative impacts on work sites where there are multiple contractors is another key responsibility as well as making sure suitable environmental resources are allocated to the project.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Appropriate experience of environmental management on construction projects including site experience
Good current knowledge and practical experience of legal requirements and how to comply with them, including archaeology, air quality, noise and vibration, surface and groundwater, contaminated land, waste, ecology and built heritage
Good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing and improving Environmental Management Systems compliant with ISO14001
Experience of obtaining and complying with environmental consents
Lead Auditor qualification; preferably be a registered auditor with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (or equivalent recognised competent body)
Be an associate member or full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (or equivalent recognised competent body)
