• Location: Buckley
• Grade & Salary: G5 , GBP30,873 rising to GBP34,218 over four years

Role Purpose
The post holder will protect and enhance the environment by effective and efficient investigation of complex environmental offending with the emphasis on waste carriers and brokers offences.
This role will provide operational enforcement work primarily at a place level, but may involving providing support to the wider organisation. The post holder will respond safely, timely and efficiently to environmental incidents / reports and undertake appropriate investigation work.
Through application of our Regulatory Principles - ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, undertake proportionate enforcement action and achieve tangible multiple benefits from our regulatory interventions.
A full UK Driving Licence is essential. You may be required to participate in an out of hours rota.
The successful candidate will also be expected to be dual warranted and be comfortable using hand cuffs and batons and able to wear a stab vest when undertaking fisheries enforcement. This post requires attendance of a conflict's resolution course.

1. Knowledge of key legislative regimes.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public and gaining support by influencing.
3. Comfortable and competent in dealing with challenging situations and individuals.
