Description
As the Weekend Night Shift Production Manager, you will be leading a production team in manufacturing high quality products, on time and in full. You will be leading, managing and developing your team to work safely and effectively, whilst delivering on customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop production processes which are fit for purpose (production and planning, schedule adherence, people & materials co-ordination and management)
Ensure all the relevant legislation's and directives are adhered to
Deliver the 'operational strategy' and ensure performance and productivity
Manage and report on health and safety
Conduct task based and dynamic risk assessments
Ensure all products produced are within specification and of the right quality; working with the quality team to ensure audit readiness
Drive a culture of continuous improvement empowering your team to improve performance, reduce waste and deliver on service as measured through their KPIs
Drive operational excellence using lean and TPM tools (low-cost, value-added activity that delivers against customer expectations (OTIF)
Manage team's performance and development (through one to ones, training, coaching, counselling and disciplinaries etc.)
Put SOPs in place, skills matrices and a training plan for the team
Communicate site key performance indicators to team
Personal performance appraisalShift Pattern: Friday - Sunday (Nights)
Profile
A Production Manager with experience within FMCG or Packaging manufacturing and the following:
HNC/HND in a relevant subject or qualified by experience
Experience Leading, Managing and Developing a Team
Experience in Production and Planning
Development and Implementation of SOPs including health & Safety best practice
Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & TPM
Health & Safety awareness/training (ideally IOSH Managing Safely)
Ability to communicate and influence cross functionally at all levels within the organisationJob Offer
