Do you thrive in a fast-paced work environment? Do you enjoy working to tight deadlines? Do you like to make a difference? If this sounds like you, this could be your perfect role.

At Johnnie Johnson Housing, we’re looking for a Treasury Accountant to join us.

Our Treasury Accountant takes full ownership of the Group’s Treasury function, ensuring compliance with loan covenants through regular monitoring and forecasting, maintaining an accurate security database, appropriate liquidity levels and ensuring adherence to the Group’s Treasury Policy. You’ll be the key contact for banking and funding stakeholders, ensuring good relationships are upheld.

So now you’ve heard a bit about the role, let us tell you a bit about the team! It’s important to know who you might be working with, right?

Our Team

Our Finance team is a really lovely (if we don’t mind saying so ourselves!) close knit team of twelve. We’re lead by a brand new Head of Finance and as well as providing support to the organisation, we support each other too. We work hard but we also like to have fun too and you’ll often find us catching up (on the non-financial stuff) outside of work.

About you

We’d like our Treasury Accountant to either have a professional Finance/Treasury qualification or have considerable knowledge of finance. You’ll be experienced in Treasury, cashflow forecasting and funding requirements, and in management accountant duties including month end journals, control account reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting. With your strong organisational and communication skills, you’ll be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all departments in the organisation and be able to perform to a high standard, incorporating LEAN principles.

And the benefits of working for us?

We’ve adopted a completely agile way of working meaning you can work from home and/or our brand new (and very swanky!) innovation hub, Eden Point in Cheadle Hulme! As long as our residents and customers are put first we’ll also give you a degree of flexibility using our ‘My Lifestyle’ guidelines, meaning you can attend the important things in life. So, whether you’ve got a yoga class you’d love to attend, your child’s school play or maybe it’s just that you’ve just got a new fridge being delivered, we will work with you to be flexible!

We also offer a fantastic holiday allowance of 33 days per annum (including statutory holidays) which rises to 38 days after 5 years’ service. We can offer you a 35-hour working week, an enhanced 5% employer contribution pension scheme and a recognition scheme with both financial and non-financial rewards such as gift vouchers, early finishes or even a later start! There’s loads more fantastic benefits too – you can find out more about these on our careers site!

About us
