Our client is a subsidiary of a niche banking group and a leading provider of business lending solutions (asset finance and leasing) to the UK SME and corporate community.

As they have experienced significant growth over the last few years they need to appoint an experienced HR generalist to lead the HR function of this growing business.

This is a broad and varied role reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and has some broad responsibilities which include the following:-

• Employee Contracts and Correspondence
• On & Off-boarding including screening
• Compensation and benefits
• Probationary periods
• Performance Management
• Compliance e.g. mandatory training, induction courses
• Completion of Payroll submissions/preparations.
• HR Mailbox
• Training / Learning and development requirements
• Employee Engagement
• Social Committee and team events
• HR Communications

This role requires someone who is prepared to be very hands-on within a very professional environment where culture and team fit will be paramount.

Some experience within banking, lending, financial services or some other services-type sector would be an advantage but not essential. The likely candidate will have had several years as an HR generalist and be organised, experienced and be able to work independently.

The role requires someone to live within reasonable commuting distance of their Manchester city centre office however there will be a degree of flexibility around location / home working.
