The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Accounts Team at our Head Office in Crewe. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will assist with the managment of our purchase ledger. You will work closely with head office Accountants and department heads to arrange purchase payments.

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will also play an important part in supporting the department with day-to-day administration such as; production of invoices, paying of invoices, daily banking, daily reporting and payments. Throughout the day, you will also assist with day-to-day administration such as scanning and filing.

More about the role:
  • Accurate processing of all type of invoices and payents; including coding and authorisation
  • Setting up new suppliers on the system
  • BACS payment run preparation
  • Posting and allocating payments
  • Credit card and other purchase card payments and balancing
  • Use of SAGE 200
  • General office duties
More about you:
  • Minimum of two years' experience within an accounts environment
  • AAT qualified or working towards
  • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Sage 200 experience (desirable)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
