Student Services supports learners at each stage of their journey from pre-entry to post exit. The Service has a student-orientated culture and puts learners’ needs at the heart of everything it does. The Service has multi-disciplinary teams that work together to ensure students reach their potential.

As Student Services Coordinator, it will be your responsibility to coordinate and provide an exciting range of activities, workshops and large-scale events to enrich and enhance the student experience. The activities you provide will inspire students and promote positive behaviours around the themes of respect, wellbeing, equality, safety and learner voice. You will work closely with the wider team to champion all Support Services and to ensure students are provided with holistic information and advice needed to excel.

A friendly, approachable and dynamic individual, you will have a passion for developing opportunities for students and have the ability to build strong, positive partnerships with internal and external professionals. With a Level 5 qualification in a relevant field (Youth and Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology or Health & Social Care), you will have extensive practitioner experience, working with those ‘at risk’/vulnerable, and be able to work effectively with multiple external agencies and staff across the organisation to achieve service objectives.

Able to work effectively as part of a team, you will demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and the ability to lead, coordinate and deliver multiple objectives. You will demonstrate skills in the context of planning/delivering activities and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, giving you the ability to build rapport with a wide range of individuals. You will have a strong track record of engaging young people and adults from diverse backgrounds, ideally in an informal education or community-based setting. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a positive, calm and ‘can do’ pro-active approach. Student Services is committed to equality of opportunity and the delivery of a high-quality inclusive service.

Closing date for the return of a complete online application is 5th July at 12pm.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 26 days plus up to 7 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health. This leave is all in addition to Bank Holiday entitlement.
