As our organisation grows, we now have a requirement for a Finance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis working 37 hours per week.

The Role
 
As our Finance Officer, you will assist our Treasury Accountant in a variety of effective treasury activities and deliver customer-focused and quality financial services.
 
Joining the Finance and Performance team, you will undertake the maintenance and reconciliation of all Group cash books and bank accounts on a weekly basis. You will prepare the financial information on all housing disposals and oversee the reporting and accounting for all shared ownership and open market sales on development schemes.
 
Additionally, you will:
 
- Maintain the company’s treasury loan schedules, ensuring interest payments are arranged to be paid on time
- Carry out ad-hoc audits of safe contents
- Assist with the securitisation matters including charging new properties and seeking approval for properties to be released
- Lead on ensuring the security register is up to date and all asset cover ratios have been met
 
About You
 
To join us as a Finance Officer, you will need:
 
- At least three years’ experience in an accounting role
- To be part or full AAT Qualified, or equivalent
- To be a great team player with high attention to detail
- Great IT, analytical and numerical skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
- A good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with non-financial colleagues
- At a minimum, GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above
 
Experience of using SunSystems would be beneficial, as would Housing Sector finance experience.
 
Appointment to this post is subject to a basic DBS check.
