Our client is going from strength to strength, they are looking to recruit an experienced Process Engineer to join them and contribute to their success.
Job purpose:
• Deliver sustainable production systems through "systematic" control of processes and documentation
• Determine development needs and work as part of a team delivering engineering solutions
Main responsibilities:
• To embrace and participate in the Worksafe Health and Safety programme
• Ensuring process meets functional safety standards required.
• Development and introduction of process logging and metrology systems for existing processes
• Conversion of metrology data to show carbon emissions to comply with legal requirements
• Lead the project management of new process improvement projects which enhance production capability
• Investigate and deliver OEE improvements and support the sites CI approach
• Provide technical and process engineering support for all Operation areas
• Conduct downtime, availability and scrap analysis on production plant
• Manage the energy reporting process and oversee external verification audits (EU ETS)
• Represent the company on energy matters at events
• Understanding of functional safety management system and responsibilities
• Sufficient competency and experience to fulfil their requirements as identified in the 'Management of Engineering Asset Integrity Policy Document'
• Local with occasional travel to other sites
• Some travel to another UK office every quarter
• Attend meetings off site, network with industry
Required knowledge and experience:
• Adapt a methodical approach to problem solving
• Process safety associated with Gas burners, kilns and furnace control.
• Sound knowledge of BS EN 61511 in process industry.
• Knowledge of ceramic processes.
• IT literate with an excellent practical knowledge of Office suite
• A keen interest in own development showing a positive can-do attitude with energy and drive
• Demonstrable budget control
• Proven experience in heavy manufacturing plant
Minimum Education:
• HNC in Engineering or equivalent level, or working towards
Desirable:
• Qualification in Ceramics
